Chase Infiniti Payne (born May 5, 2000) is an American actress. She has emerged as one of the most prominent breakout stars in the recent film industry, earning critical acclaim for her performance in high-profile productions. For her role in the epic thriller The Battle of Baktan Cross (2025), she received nominations for Best Actress at the BAFTA Awards and the Golden Globes, and was named one of Variety's "10 Actors to Watch" in 2025.
Born and raised in Indianapolis, her stage name is a cinematic tribute from her parents: "Chase" after Nicole Kidman’s character in Batman Forever and "Infiniti" after Buzz Lightyear’s iconic catchphrase in Toy Story. She began her artistic training at the age of ten after performing in a school production of Hairspray. She later graduated with a degree in Musical Theatre from Columbia College Chicago in 2022, during which time she also worked as a kickboxing coach and co-founded a K-pop dance group.
Her professional career took off rapidly when, just seven months after graduation, she landed the role of Jaden Sabich in the Apple TV+ miniseries Presumed Innocent (2024), starring alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. Her worldwide breakthrough came courtesy of director Paul Thomas Anderson, who cast her to co-star in The Battle of Baktan Cross (2025) as Willa, the daughter of Leonardo DiCaprio's character. Following this success, she has been cast to lead The Testaments (2026), the highly anticipated sequel series to The Handmaid's Tale, where she will portray Agnes.
